Hiking & Biking in Mesa

Hiking, biking, horseback riding, anything outdoors, Mesa Foothills has it!! Hitting the trail is one of the best ways to experience the Sonoran desert and wildlife. Mesa has hiking trails for all ages with varying levels of difficulty and distances to choose from.

Folks drive all over the valley to hike the Usery Mountain range and its right here in Northeast Mesa. More than 29 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Park trails range in length from 0.2 miles to over 7 miles, and range in difficulty from easy to difficult. Trails here are popular because they offer enough elevation to experience spectacular vistas of the Valley.

Even the master planned communities of Las Sendas and Mountain Bridge offer their own hiking trails available to the public. In Las Sendas the entire community is integrated by miles of natural desert and hard surface pathways for walking, biking or rollerblading. Some of the natural desert trails lead you to intimate settings or you could even take a trail to the Tonto National Forest which is Las Sendas’ northern boundary.
